As an nonexpert user of computer, nowaday i very confused with some file extension that I've never heard before. A few day ago i write about file extension QTL. Know I will try to knowing File Extension MetaData Never Index. What is .metadata_never_index file extension ?
Now let's look word by word of File Extension MetaData Never Index . Metadata is File that describes the content of the file. Why Never Index? Because this file prevent Spotlight from indexing the drive. It's usually used by Mac OS. Indexing the drive maybe can slowdown computer. Put .metadata_never_index, an empty and non-modifiable file, to root of the directory, so Spotlight will not indexing this drive.
Maybe you experiencing problem when trying to open File Extension MetaData Never Index. It can be happen if your registry files corrupt. Try to fix it with Driver Detective that can be downloaded from http://fileextensionmetadataneverindex.com/

Thank you for sharing this information. I've never heard this kind of file extension before. But I think I need to use this because it has that never index ,that other file extension doesn't have, which could help your computer to work normally and not slow down.
