Faced with numerous announcements made by LG, Samsung and Nokia earlier this year on new models marketed in 2009, Sony Ericsson had to react quickly in order not to fall even further behind by competition in recent years is become increasingly aggressive in the market for mobile phones and smartphones.
The Japan-Swedish firm finally finally respond by launching in the second half of 2009 new models, among which are the Satio a very attractive smartphone, which announces a very clear shift in strategy from Sony Ericsson.
Touch Fully integrating the Symbian OS, a 12 Megapixels Optical ... the Satio has anything to get out and raise some concerns for competition.
The discovery Satio Sony Ericsson has started with good impressions: the storage box is small enough, and various accessories are pretty well sorted.
The grip of the Sony Ericsson Satio is good. The smartphone is a bit heavy, which probably results from materials used for the hull, which is mainly composed of steel, which makes Satio fairly robust.
A very big surprise (rather nice) was observed while watching the unit's Satio: is the writing on the door that lets you insert the memory card: "Micro SD"! This is a first for a Sony Ericsson, which has hitherto always preferred memory cards Memory Stick Standard, Duo or M2 from Sony.
The extraction of the casing is fairly straightforward. The SIM card fits into a sort of small plastic tray (a plastic that appears to be of very poor quality) that is pulled from under the non-extractable part of the casing with a small tab after you extract the battery . Inserting the SIM card seems pretty easy, cons by its extraction requires considerable skill.
By cons, no slot is available to store a stylus. And because the stylus attached via a small strap at the Sony Ericsson Satio, as is the case on most models tactile market. I find it really not practical at all to have an object suspended on a string that ballad in every sense when handling a mobile, and more, is likely to hit the screen if you are not careful. Suddenly, the pen will not leave the package, and remain in the cabinet of the mobile. Wooyoo ...!

Sporting a 3.5-inch resistive, touch sensitive screen means you can´t expect the Sony Ericsson Satio to be a small device, but its size is pretty OK with us, given the functionality it delivers. It´s interesting to notice that despite it looks rather bulky, the phone feels light in your hand and we hope this stays the same when the retail version comes out. Like the Samsung OMNIA HD and Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, there are only three buttons on the front side – send and end, along with a third one that´s located right between the latter and pressing it gets you to either the main menu or task manager.

We'd like to see some real improvements to make this a much more touchable phone. With its resistive touchscreen, we worry that we're going to have to keep a stylus handy while using the Sony Ericsson Satio, but the phone seemed just responsive enough in our hands on tests.

A good solid phone. I have a friend that bought one, but had some problems with the display, but got it fix and now it`s running great. I`m thinking buying one myself.

Wow, this phone resembled an mp3 player rather than a cellphone. It looks really sleek and stylish. But I bet this one will be really expensive! :D

The improvements include: Resolves intermittent issue that may interrupt cellular network services until restart, Resolves sporadic issue that may cause iPhone to not wake from sleep and Fixes bug that could cause occasional crash during video streaming.

Iphone clone by Sony Ericsson - well it has taken them some time to make a descent response.
What question bothers me most of all - how much does this toy cost?
The phone will use some sort of gesture control, though the company is going all out and claiming the Sony Ericsson Satio will be a motion gaming device.
More likely, the phone will get some sort of media shake-to-shuffle features, or perhaps ringer control, like we've seen on similarly equipped Nokia devices. Also, the Satio will use the Symbian Webkit browser, though we didn't get a chance to load up any Web pages due to a lack of connection during our tests.

you can download everything for FREE once you've created a username theres wallpaper creators and theme creators aswell and you can upload your favourite song on the ringtone maker and select your favourite part the beginning and the end and once you've done you can download it.

nice post I bought a Sony Ericsson K800i online and in certain areas it says "emergency calls only". I have at&t and sometimes it works and sometimes it says emergency calls only.

W810 is a great phone!k750i needs no introduction as it is still one of the best phones in the market.The only thing that k750i lacks is that it cant run Flash menus(.swf) files.W810 can use them in its menus but not otherwise.on the other hand k750i has a protective camera shutter and w810 doesnt,so its bound to get scratched.
If ur a net freak then go for w810 as it has got EDGE and k750 does not has it.If ur limited by budget then u can also go for w300.It has edge too but has a poor screen.I ll suggest the best for u is w810!(Good choice!)
Sony Ericsson's are great phones, great to save pics and songs, i have always had Nokias in the past and went for one as a change and now i wont go back. It is best to get a memory card for your phone though as large amounts of data on the phone slow it down and can crash it.

With a 12 MegaPixel camera, the Satio definitely requires some heavy duty software, not only to allow for tons of options in image/video capture but also to process these images quickly and efficiently.
